The Head of the Ghana Association of Songwriters, Mr. Logic has urged the Ewe community to embrace their heritage and not be intimidated by the negative stereotypes surrounding their “voodoo culture”.
Unfortunately, these unfounded stereotypes have resulted in unfair prejudices and fear towards the Ewe ethnic group.
Mr. Logic is a strong advocate for the notion that the Ewe people should take pride in this aspect of their cultural identity and not shy away from it.
During a discussion on the show “United Showbiz,” Mr. Logic shared his thoughts, saying:
“Ewes shouldn’t hesitate to acknowledge their connection to charms. What’s wrong with that? It’s what gives them power. They should take pride in being Voltarians. If I were to marry a Voltarian, it would be because she might possess spiritual powers. I would be proud of it because people would say she is strong. You should be proud of yourselves for coming from a tradition with such strong roots. We are all human, and what happens in the physical world doesn’t even affect Jesus.”
