ACTING IN GHANA CAN’T BUILD A HOUSE IN EAST LEGON – Ekow Smith Asante

Ekow Smith Asante, a seasoned actor, recently said what was inconceivable as he claimed Acting in Ghana can’t make anyone build a house in East Legon.

Ekow Smith Asante claims that because acting in Ghana is so underpaid, many actors and actresses choose to purchase a home in one of the nation’s opulent neighborhoods.

He pointed out that stars and actresses in Ghana may only afford and construct a home in East Legon thanks to favors from powerful individuals or presents they receive from other people.

In an interview with Fiifi Pratt, he admitted that although actors and actresses often portray themselves as leading luxurious lives on social media, performing doesn’t actually pay that much.

He continued by noting that while he’s not saying his colleagues can’t own a home in East Legon, the reality is that it would take a while for them to construct one there.

He said: Somebody can give me something because of my particular role in a movie. With gifts from people, it can support you to build, but I think it will take a very long time without it. How much are you paid, GHc10, 000, Ghc20, 000, Ghc30, 000 or what? ”
