ACTING IN GHANA DOESN’T PAY – Lawyer Nti

Well-known comic actor, Richmond Xavier Amoakoh, better known on film as Lawyer Nti from the Kejeta Vrs Makola series has claimed that acting in Ghana is not financially rewarding.

He asserts that the amount of work actors and actresses put into their trade and the amount of money they ultimately earn are not correlated.

He added that acting has not been a common occurrence in Ghana recently.

“It doesn’t pay that much. This is because if you consider the amount of work you put in your craft and other thing you have to do and the money you get, we can say that it doesn’t pay. And also, the money from acting doesn’t come frequently. It is not unlike when acting in Ghana was very lucrative where people like Agya Koo would have to work all day”. Lawyer Nti told Ezra FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com.

The comic actor further revealed to the Host of “Ezra Entertainment Show” Agropapa that, the story is different these days.  “Now, you are called to act in a space of about two to three months so you have to depend on the money you have already earned till you are called for a different job”.
