The mother of Alfred Ababio Kumi, commonly known as “Adenta Kumi”, has alleged that his son’s wife miscarried after NIB stormed their house to arrest him.
According to the mother, Nana Ama Owusu Adenta Kumi’s wife was pregnant, but the NIB storming the house to arrest him led to the wife falling and bleeding profusely.
Adenta Kumi recently gained public attention for petitioning President John Dramani Mahama to dissolve the committee investigating the Chief Justice’s removal, which was reportedly taken away by a team of about eight operatives.
Nana Ama Owusu, the mother of Alfred Ababbio Kumi, confirmed the arrest to the media,a saying, “We saw about eight armed operatives arrive holding guns at the residence while he was taking his bath. They have even broken his door.
They brought a paper but I didn’t look at it, they said they only wanted to speak with him, but ended up taking him away. The officers broke into the building when he told them he was taking his bath, damaging doors before gaining access, they got here at 5:30 am and took him away from 6:00 am”, she narrated.
They did not fire their weapons but they used the weapons to hit the door trying to break the door, he told them to go back his wife was pregnant but the girl fell and started to bleed. She is a 4-month-old pregnant woman, she was going to open the door but could not open it and she fell leading to a miscarriage”.
