Defending her maid of honour, gospel artist Empress Gifty said that her former post warning ladies to be careful with their choice of bridesmaids was not intended for any particular person.
She had uploaded a photo of her wedding in May 2022 and issued a caution about bridesmaids with envious tendencies who might jeopardize the bride’s marriage.
Social media users speculated about whether the tweet was intended for her maid of honor, Afia Akoto, an ardent supporter of the NPP.
Empress Gifty insisted that she utilize her own wedding photo because it was her special day and not a reflection of her own experiences.
She further explained that the tweet was intended to address a general issue and was not directed at any of her bridesmaids in a recent interview with MzGee on United Showbiz. She pleaded with people who had not experienced difficulties with their bridesmaids to maintain a clear conscience and avoid being hurt by her message.
Empress Gifty claimed that she provides more meaningful stuff on her website and that God frequently inspires her postings.
