AFRICAN GAMES: GBC STAFF WERE PAID GHc100 PER DAY, FOREIGNERS GOT GHc1,000 – Sam George

MP for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has alleged that the staff of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) were paid a daily stipend of GHc100 while their contracted foreign counterparts got GHc1,000 to cover the 2023 African Games.

The NDC MP has been one of the leading voices on the matter, following contradictions between the Sports Minister and the Director General of the GBC regarding how much the state broadcaster was paid for its coverage of the Games.

On Monday, the Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif claimed that $3 million was paid to the GBC as the official broadcaster for the Games.
