The much-anticipated Nigeria edition of the well-known worldwide music festival Afro Nation, which was supposed to take place in December, is no longer happening.
The festival organizers claim this decision followed the realization that “it is currently not possible to deliver a show that is of the quality that Nigeria deserves in December 2023.”
The organisers shared on social media that they had a deep affection for Nigeria and that this made the choice to cancel painful for them.
The festival crew wants the audience to know how dedicated they are to producing a memorable Afro Nation concert in Lagos that would make everyone proud in the long run.
Afro Nation claims to recognize the disappointment this news must have caused its devoted followers who had paid for tickets and promised re
funds.
“We know that you are as disappointed as we are and to all those who have purchased tickets, we love you and thank you for supporting us on this journey. We will refund all tickets including booking fees. Ticket buyers do not need to do anything but will receive an email with information outlining the refund process.,” the October 31 statement indicated.
