AJ POUNDZ REVEALS NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE AFTER UMBILICAL HERNIA DIAGNOSIS

Ghanaian actress and media personality Matilda Adjoa Densu, popularly known as AJ Poundz, has recounted a life-threatening health scare involving an undiagnosed umbilical hernia.

In a revealing interview with ZionFelix, AJ shared how she only discovered the condition by chance while accompanying her mother to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC). During the visit, a doctor, and close family friend noticed something unusual about her navel. Although initially dismissive, AJ agreed to a thorough check-up that confirmed the diagnosis.

The doctors advised immediate surgery, warning that any delay could have resulted in fatal consequences. Medical personnel described her survival as sheer luck, emphasizing the urgency of the intervention.

Reflecting on her experience, AJ admitted she had experienced earlier symptoms but ignored them, unaware of the potential severity. She expressed concern over the general lack of public knowledge about umbilical hernias in Ghana, citing the tragic death of another woman from the condition as a call for increased awareness.

AJ praised the UGMC medical team for their swift and dedicated care, crediting them with saving her life.
