According to comic actor and stand-up comedian, Jacinta Ocansey, many people recognize that they comedians but despise the label because it is thought of as a humorous profession.
Jacinta who spoke to Peace FM’s Akwasi Aboagye on Entertainment Review last Saturday believes that because of what they occasionally stand for, public figures like President Akufo Addo, Bawumia, and Shatta Wale can be classified as comedians.
“There are so many comedians in this country today, it’s just that they have not called themselves comedians, but they are comedians, we know them”, she said.
“Shatta Wale is one of them, Abeiku Santana is one of them, Nana Addo is one of them, Bawumia is one of them”, Jacinta Ocansey explained to Akwasi Aboagye on his evergreen show Entertainment Review show on Peace FM.
She feels that comedy is one of the most revered professions in the world, but tragically, some people only see it from a limited perspective.
“My profession is one of the most respected professions in the world,” she added.
