Lovers of Highlife and fans of singer, and songwriter, Akwaboah are currently not having a field day as the annual Valentine’s Day concert organized by their icon has been cancelled.
In a press release signed by Akwaboah, the singer expressed regret as he announced that his initially advertised and anticipated musical event dubbed ‘Shades of Love’ will not take place as scheduled this year.
According to him, his priority has always been delivering the best when it comes to his musical shows but some circumstances beyond his control have subdued his efforts in giving his fans the thrill they deserve.
He, however, has given his fans something to relieve them of the sadness this development would cause as he reveals he has a pleasant surprise for them this Valentine and has urged them to be on the look out for.
“My dear friends and family,
For the past 6 years, Valentine’s day has become synonymous with Akwaboah’s ‘Shades of Love’ concert. This is why it pains me to say we will not be able to have our concert this years.
When it became evident that we cannot deliver what you have come to expect at the Shades of Love concert, the choice was obvious.
It is always my wish to give you the best experience because you deserve the best.
I will provide updates on concerts and tours planned for the rest of the year. That notwithstanding, I have some pleasant surprises for you this Valentine. Anticipate.

The event seeks to give lovers and those in search of love, a musical escape from the hustles of the city while drowning their emotions into several hours of love-themed tunes.
