AMADIA SHOPPING CENTER REPORTS POLICE CHEF SMITH TO POLICE FOR FRAUD AMID PUBLIC APOLOGY

A new report about Chef Smith indicates that Amardia Shopping Center, his sponsor, has informed the police about the incident involving his attempt to break a Guinness World Record.

In an interview with Kofi TV, the Brands and Marketing Manager at Amardia Shopping Center, David Caleb Gborglah, mentioned that they had notified the police about the incident, despite Chef Smith’s apology, as fraud is a severe crime.

Gborglah emphasized the hard work he and his team did to make the cooking marathon successful, such as quickly getting to the event venue, taking risks on the Accra-Tema Motorway, and having to deal with urgent matters related to Chef Smith’s event while leaving his pregnant wife at home.

He knows the sacrifices I made to make this job a success. I remember an instance where I had to rush to the venue using a motorbike on the Accra-Tema Motorway due to an emergency call during the cook-a-thon. I even left my pregnant wife at home, and he was aware. I had no choice but to support and ensure everything was done well.

“He has apologized, and we’ve heard it, but now it’s up to the police to do their job. Amardia Shopping Center has nothing more to say. It’s no longer about us; it’s about fraud, and fraud is punishable by law.

He cast uncertainty on the company’s ability to recoup the financial losses from Chef Smith, as he discussed the situation

“Chef Smith won’t be able to reimburse the losses we’ve suffered because of him. Have you seen his face during the apology? Have you looked at him?” he remarked, sparking a new conversation around entertainment news in Ghana.
