Kwame Sefa Kayi, a seasoned journalist, shared a lighthearted observation regarding individuals bearing the name ‘Naabu.’
In his amusing remark, Mr. Sefa Kayi quipped that those with this name often have a knack for being rather troublesome no matter where they happen to be.
His remark made on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Show stems from controversies involving the former Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bugri Naabu.
“In Ga, Naabu means mouth. I know Bugri Naabu is a Muslim and not a Ga. I want to know where the name Naabu came from because the mouth as we know comes with trouble. Someone who is called Naabu always being trouble. Could it be a nickname?” Mr Sefa Kayi remarked as light-hearted jab.
Chief Bugri Naabu is alleged to be the individual behind a leaked tape that revealed plans to oust the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare.
While that case is being probed by a Parliamentary Committee set up by Speaker Alban Bagbin, Chief Bugri Naabu has found himself in what could be classified as a scandal.
