Outspoken religious leader, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has openly criticised the the NPP running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, for comparing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
In a recent sermon, Prophet Oduro openly criticized NAPO’s comments, questioning the reasoning behind making such a comparison. The Prophet, famous for his direct and sometimes passionate speeches, showed his shock and anger at the statement.
“Are you silly or something? Get back in line. You want to compare Nkrumah to who? Excuse me Sir back off … speaking nonsensical madness because you are not trained well. Somebody built a motorway you are struggling to even maintain, and you come here talking nonsense, “ Prophet Oduro fumed.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh stirred up controversy when he compared himself to Dr. Bawumai while being revealed as the New Patriotic Party’s Running Mate. Pointing out President Nana Addo’s accomplishments, he proposed that his influence on Ghana might be likened to that of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Nevertheless, Prophet Oduro maintains that the accomplishments of Nkrumah, which resulted in Ghana gaining independence and starting various development initiatives such as industrialization and education reforms, are on a completely different level.
