Ghanaian gospel musician, Brother Sammy has once again sparked controversy on social media with his unconventional advice for young men.
In an interview on NeatFM, the controversial artist spoke openly about his unconventional beliefs, stating that having children without getting married is more important than getting married.
During an interview with the show’s host, Brother Sammy commented on his own marriage saying;
“Marriage is good, but I advise people to give birth and have children, but I will never advise someone to get married”.
He described marriage as usually seen as a lifelong promise, but it can also come with doubt and possible neglect, unlike the connection with one’s child.
Broda Sammy contended that a child’s love is dependable and unwavering, unlike the commitments made in a marriage.
“Anything can happen in a marriage; you can be neglected by your partner,” he explained. “But even a stubborn child would support their parent if the marriage were to fall apart.”
As per the singer, a child’s loyalty is more important than the unpredictable nature of marriages.
Even though he is married, Brother Sammy confidently stated that he would not recommend others to do the same.
He went on to suggest that marriage tends to be more advantageous for women than for men, causing a debate among his supporters.
