Koku Anyidoho, a former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Conference (NDC), has predicted victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections following Johnson Asiedu Nketia, often known as General Mosquito’s win for national chair of the party at the NDC’s 10th delegates’ congress on Saturday.
Mr Anyidoho vigorously opposed Mr Nketiain the run-up to the election, arguing that if he were to serve as National Chair, the party would lose the following elections. However, Mr Nketia won the race to succeed Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo as national chair by a wider margin.
Commenting on this in series of tweets, Mr Anyidoho said “If anyone thinks I have wavered on my convictions; the victory of Asiedu-Nketiah has handed a victory baton to NPP.”
He added “I am grateful to God that nobody understands my brand of politics. The victory of Mosquito spells doom for the dead goat.”
