Atom has acquired a new ‘toy’ – a white Range Rover with customized number plate. He was spotted with his new ride at Pluzz FM in Accra on Monday August 22, 2016 as he appeared on the station’s Entertainment breakfast show “AM Pluzz”.
During his interview Atom disclosed that Apple Company actually paid him thousands of dollars for playing his only hit song “Yewo Krom” without contacting him.
According to Atom, he contacted his lawyer to take the issue up and eventually they got Apple to settle them with more than $20,000.
Atom said “Apple paid me between $20,000 and $50,000 for using my song without first contacting me,” adding that the entire process of the settlement between himself and Apple took 45 days.
Atom took Ghana by storm in 2015 with “Yewo Krom” which has literally become a street term. After winning Hip life song of the year at the 2016 VGMAs, he has never looked back and he is making a future out of it.
Atom got his popular hit Yewo Krom song played at the Developer Conference of tech giant Apple in June this year. The song was played to climax the demonstration of the all new Apple Music App. His new Range Rover is just some of the many things he’s acquired with all the money he is making from his hit single “Yewo krom”.
Atom just ended his Europe tour in Belgium after playing in France, Denmark, Germany and Holland, and he is preparing to go on tour in London.
