The ex-president of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor, has urged Ghanaians to avoid engaging in violence prior to, during, and following the upcoming elections.
During a conversation with a group of Broadcast Journalists on Sunday, November 17, he stressed the importance of preserving the election’s results to protect the democracy of the nation.
He encouraged individuals to uphold peace leading up to the upcoming general elections just three weeks from now.
“It is essential for everyone to line up calmly to exercise their voting rights on election day. Electoral violence is unacceptable, and I hope for a peaceful election process,” Kufuor said.
He stressed that the victors of the 2024 elections will receive full support in their role as president.
