AYISHA MODI ALLEGES SHE SPENT $8,000 ON MEDICINE FOR DADDY LUMBA BUT WAS NEVER REPAID

The US-based socialite claims she purchased medication for the late highlife legend, delivered it to his home in Ghana, and was never reimbursed despite assurances from associates.

Controversial US-based Ghanaian socialite Ayisha Modi has alleged that she spent $8,000 on medication for the late highlife icon Daddy Lumba, claiming she was never repaid for the expenses incurred over a decade ago.

In a recent interview with blogger De Godson TV, Ayisha Modi detailed how she was contacted through actor Lil Win to help procure medicine for Daddy Lumba, who was reportedly battling a severe spinal cord condition.

According to her account, she worked with singer Prince Bright to secure a prescription and purchased the medication from Fordham Road Pharmacy in Bronx, New York. She stated that the medicine cost $8,000, with an additional $1,500 paid to the doctor for the prescription.

“I handed the receipt to Odo Broni. I was told I would get my money back when I delivered the medicine, but I never did,” Ayisha claimed, adding that she was assured businessman Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong) would reimburse her.

Beyond the medical expenses, Ayisha alleged she bought gifts worth $4,000 for Daddy Lumba’s family and even paid Kumawood actors who featured in a film with the musician during his illness.

The socialite insisted she had raised the issue while Daddy Lumba was still alive. “I spoke about him owing me when he was alive. His son, Ofori Amponsah, KK Fosu and others all know. A dead body cannot owe anyone. I can’t just forgive that debt,” she maintained.

The video of her claims has sparked renewed discussion about her relationship with the late music legend, though no response has yet been provided by Daddy Lumba’s family or the individuals named in her account.
