BAWUMIA IS LEAGUES AHEAD OF MAHAMA — Kofi Akpaloo Endorses Vice President

Kofi Akpaloo, the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) presidential candidate, has publicly doubted former President John Dramani Mahama’s reliability by criticizing his previous views on important policies.

During a conversation on Oyerepa TV, Akpaloo pointed out that Mahama had doubts about the feasibility of the Free SHS program when it was first introduced.

Akpaloo believes that these dismissive attitudes reveal a lack of a vision to address the country’s urgent issues.

“John Mahama’s track record shows he lacks real solutions for Ghanaians,” Akpaloo declared, his tone firm but measured.

“This is someone who doubted the feasibility of Free SHS—a policy that is now a lifeline for many families. If he couldn’t see its importance back then, how can we trust him to lead us forward?”

Akpaloo made his remarks during a crucial period, as political discussions intensified towards Ghana’s upcoming general elections.

The LPG leader stressed that it would be more beneficial for the nation if Mahama remained in the opposition, as he believes the former president’s policies have consistently failed to meet the country’s long-term requirements.

When questioned about who he thinks is more suitable to lead the country, Akpaloo openly supported Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Bawumia is leagues ahead of Mahama in both intellect and policy,” he said confidently. “Look at the digitalization agenda under Bawumia’s leadership—it has transformed how Ghanaians interact with government services.

Compare that to Mahama’s 24-hour economy idea, which remains nothing more than a soundbite.”
