In 2024, Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate and former vice president, generously donated GHC 100,000 to Bernard Mensah. Bernard serves as a polling station officer for the NPP in Mampoma, located in the Twifo Atti Mokwaa area of the Central Region.
Bernard suffered a severe accident during the 2024 election campaign. He was working on fixing street lights on electric poles when he was electrocuted.
Tragically, this accident resulted in Bernard losing one of his arms.
Richard Takyi Mensah, the NPP’s regional secretary, presented the donation to Bernard on Bawumia’s behalf.
Bernard expressed deep gratitude to Bawumia for this help. He considered the donation a great relief, especially given the challenges he faces due to his injury.
