BEING IN JAIL FELT LIKE A VACATION – Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale, a contentious dancehall and afrobeat musician, has said that being locked up made him feel like he was on vacation.

Remember how Shatta Wale was detained a few months ago after inciting fear and panic in East Legon with a fake gunshot?

His pals helped him distribute the information on social media, which alarmed his followers.

After a man of God predicted his demise during a conversation with Nana Romeo on live radio station Accra FM, Shatta Wale staged a shooting. He underwent a court hearing and spent a few days in jail.

“When I went to jail, I actually felt like I was at home. Because people have been in there for 30 years, and they’ve never seen Shatta Wale. So, as they saw me, they fetched water for me. Some brought me food (mostly from their visitors). Just like the way people see me on the streets and kneel down, it was the same way in the jailhouse,” he revealed in an interview on TV3’s Showbiz 360.

He added that “it wasn’t like they took me there to suffer, it was like a vacation. It didn’t really humble me.
