“BIASED MAN OF GOD!” – MC Yaa Yeboah Clashes with Papa Shee Over Daddy Lumba’s Funeral Plans
A live studio debate on UTV turned explosive as the media personality accused evangelist Papa Shee of dishonesty and bias in the ongoing family dispute over the late music icon's burial.

Tensions surrounding the funeral of highlife legend Daddy Lumba erupted into a fiery on-air confrontation over the weekend, as media personality MC Yaa Yeboah clashed with evangelist Papa Shee, labelling him a “biased man of God” during a live broadcast on UTV’s United Showbiz.
The heated exchange followed the Kumasi High Court ruling on November 28, which granted Daddy Lumba’s partner, Odo Broni, the right to perform widowhood rites alongside his wife, Akosua Serwaa. The decision came after Serwaa petitioned the court to be recognized as the sole legal surviving spouse.
During the November 29 discussion, Papa Shee and family head Kofi Owusu appeared to explain the family’s position. However, the debate quickly escalated when MC Yaa Yeboah accused Papa Shee of misrepresenting the truth.
“I am putting it to you, you are a biased man of God. You call yourself a man of God, yet look at the behaviour you are portraying,” Yaa Yeboah stated pointedly.
Papa Shee fired back, accusing her of disrespect and questioning her role on the panel. “Are you the host to tell me to calm down? Am I talking to you? … That is my behavior. Look at how you have dressed. You are a very disrespectful person, and we have been watching you,” he retorted.
He reaffirmed his position as a family representative and insisted that the scheduled December 13 funeral would not proceed, citing unresolved family readiness, including children’s exam schedules and expired passports.
The clash underscores the deep divisions and heightened emotions surrounding the burial plans of one of Ghana’s most celebrated musicians, with legal, familial, and public dimensions continuing to fuel controversy.
