Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe lost the WBO Featherweight world title fight to Cuban boxer Robeisy Ramirez in the United States of America.
The Ghanaian pugilist struggled as the judges scored in favour of Ramirez at the end of the bout via a unanimous decision.
The one-sided bout saw the judges score 117-110, 118-109, 119-108 for the Cuban fighter.
The hugely-patronize fight saw Ramirez seize control of the fight early in the first round despite Dogboe having his own moments.
The best of Dogboe was exhibited in the third round but it was short-lived as Ramirez regained his foothold. The Cuban dominated and stood firm in his defenses as he stopped the Ghanaian from feeling comfortable in the ring.
The defeat is Dogboe’s third in his career and the first in his new division.
