RAPPER CAPTAIN PLANET CRITICISES REVEALING OUTFITS AT 2025 TIDAL RAVE

Ghanaian musician Captain Planet, a member of the defunct 4×4 music group, has stirred controversy with his public criticism of the outfits worn by some women at the recently held 2025 Tidal Rave concert.
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday, November 16, the artist questioned the fashion trend on display at the high-profile event, which took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra on Saturday.
“I just dey see some dressings from yesterday’s Tidal Rave. Chale, some of these small small girls, I don’t know whether them be models or pornstars. What the hell is happening in Ghana?” Captain Planet wrote.
His comments have ignited a mixed reaction online, with some users agreeing with his sentiment while others have accused him of public shaming and policing women’s bodies.
The Tidal Rave festival, one of Ghana’s premier entertainment events, featured a massive turnout and performances from top artists including Ayra Starr, Black Sherif, Gyakie, and a surprise appearance by Shatta Wale. The event is known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse experience zones, including fashion and a “Vaseline Pool Party.”
Captain Planet’s remarks have since opened up a broader conversation about fashion, personal expression, and the boundaries of public commentary in Ghana’s entertainment scene.
