Ghanaian singer, Adina Thembi Ndamse has encouraged young people to steer clear of violence in the upcoming 2024 elections, stressing that the safety of this year’s Christmas festivities may be in jeopardy.
She recommended that Ghanaians carefully choose when voting in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections on December 7.
Adina Thembi advised voters to remain patient and steadfast in promoting peace during the election season, in order to ensure a joyful festive season for all.
“My advice to everyone is to remember that we will have to live with the consequences of our voting decisions for the next four years. Therefore, we should be careful to make the right choice,” she said in an interview with Amansan Krakye.
She further emphasised, “Let’s prioritise the peace that we are known for and resist any attempts to incite violence. If there is unrest after the elections, it could jeopardize our Christmas celebrations.”
