Ghanaian businessman and entrepreneur, Confidence Haugen and Legal practitioner, Lawyer Ephraim Agbeko Vordoagu have been installed as Queen and King of Anlo respectively in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The chieftaincy title was conferred on them by Elders and Kingmakers of the Anlo Kingdom.
They were taken through the requisite traditional rites under the Stool names Dutor Torgbiga Wenya III and Mamaga Abui Buiekpor II.
The role of Dutor Torgbiga Wenya III would serve as the head of the Loafe clan of Anlo, the Founder of the Anlo Kingdom and the head of state of Anlo Land.
Mamaga Abui Buiekpor II hails from the Tovie clan, and would serve as the highest female-led office of the Anlo Kingdom.
Sharing photos from the event on her Instagram page, the newly installed Queen of Anlo wrote;
“Experiencing and appreciating our ewe culture and tradition, a true learning process”
