CORRUPTION IS THE BIGGEST THREAT TO GHANA’S DEMOCRACY – MP, Zanetor Rawlings

Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, who serves as the Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey, has stated that corruption poses the largest danger to Ghana’s democracy.

At the Campaign launch of the NDC in Tamale, Northern Region, on Saturday, July 27, 2024, Dr Agyeman-Rawlings highlighted the importance of working together to fight corruption, which she sees as a hindrance to the nation’s development and success.

Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings highlighted that corruption impacts all areas of Ghanaian society, including education and healthcare, and called on citizens to demand transparency from leaders and collaborate to fight corruption.

She emphasized the need for everyone to work together to secure a better future for Ghana.

She urged for dedication and strict stance against corruption, vowing to establish lofty expectations, and offering her backing to John Mahama in addressing the issue.

“Do you know that the biggest threat to our democracy is corruption, it is not what you are seeing happening around us in other countries, it is corruption. This is the corruption that has been presided over by this NPP government.

“But today, what we have to do is to promise one another and to promise John Mahama that we will set the bar high when it comes to zero tolerance with respect to corruption.” she said.
