Ghanaian socialite and musician Showboy has been remanded at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison for one week following his arrest.
He is expected to reappear in court on February 12, where he will face charges including resisting arrest, publication of false news and extortion.
The court stated that the remand is to allow investigators adequate time to complete their inquiries as the case continues.
Authorities say further updates will be provided as proceedings move forward.
