Information reaching our desk indicates that a High Court has thrown out a fresh lawsuit case made by businessman and politician, Chairman Wontumi against comedienne and socialite, Afia Schwarzenegger.
Chairman Wontumi, the Chairman of the NPP in the Ashanti Region, dragged Afia Schwarzenegger to court for the third time for alleged contempt.
Chairman Wontumi’s lawyer, Maurice Ampaw filed suit at the High Court in Tema to enforce the provisions of the contempt of court ruling which fined Afia about Ghc 60,000 in replacement of her ten-day jail fine.
As part of the provisions for the jail term being changed to a fine, Afia signed a bond of good behavior for two years.
Ampaw argues in his suit that Afia has violated the bond and should be jailed once more.
The case was called in court on the 17th of May and according to legal practitioner, Captain Retired Effah Darteh, who spoke to UTV via phone, the case has been thrown out of court by the High Court Judge.
