DADDY LUMBA’S ELDEST DAUGHTER DENISE ISSUES PUBLIC INVITATION TO FATHER’S FUNERAL
In a somber video message, Denise Lady Ama Saah Fosu confirmed the December 13 burial date in Kumasi, urging well-wishers and fans to join the family in celebrating the late Highlife legend’s life.
Denise Lady Ama Saah Fosu, the eldest daughter of late Highlife icon Daddy Lumba, has formally invited the public to her father’s funeral, scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Kumasi.
Speaking in a video recorded at the musician’s East Legon residence after arriving in Ghana on November 30, Denise appeared dressed in mourning cloth, flanked by an elderly man and two siblings children of Lumba’s second wife, Odo Broni.
“Hello, my name is Denise Lady Ama Saah Fosu, the eldest daughter of the late Charles Fosu, also known as Daddy Lumba,” she stated calmly. “I’m here, representing my entire family today. We’d like to kindly invite you to my father’s funeral which will take place on the 13th December in Kumasi. We wish all well-wishers and mourners to join us to celebrate his life.”
The announcement comes after the funeral date was rescheduled from December 6 to December 13 following a meeting at the Otumfuo Saamanhene Palace on November 10. During that gathering, a new funeral committee was appointed, and the late musician’s sister, Ernestina Akosua Brempomaa, called for a postmortem to investigate possible foul play in her brother’s death.
Denise’s public appeal marks a significant moment of unity and outreach amid months of legal and familial disputes over spousal rights, burial plans, and the administration of the legendary musician’s estate.
