DAMPARE’S REMOVAL BORNE OUT OF EMOTIONS AND NOT SUBSTANCE — Imani Africa CEO, Franklin Cudjoe

Franklin Cudjoe

Franklin Cudjoe from Imani Africa thinks the choice to remove Dampare was based on solid reasons, not just emotions. George Akuffo Dampare is no longer the Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service.

Christian Tetteh Yohuno is now in charge, and many expect him to bring positive changes to the police service.

There are mixed feelings about the president’s decision. Some police officers are pleased with the change, but Civil Society Organizations are against removing Dampare.

Commenting on this, Franklin Cudjoe in a post via social media said “The day our leaders will make important decisions based on evidence rather than on hearsay and emotions we would have arrived”.
