The 2024 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has said, a vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the December 7 general elections is a 3rd term for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
After plundering the country with corruption and mishandling the economy, he claimed the NPP was trying to hide the damage by promoting Bawumia with the ‘Break the 8′ campaign.
Reported by classfmonline, he referred to Dr. Bawumia as a flexible Vice President who would shield them from the crimes they have committed.
Mr. Mahama made this statement during a small gathering at Bawalashie while visiting the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the Greater Accra Region on Thursday, 18 July 2024.
He suggested that the most effective way to show that Ghana is ready for change is by voting out the NPP and encouraging people to vote against them in large numbers on December 7, 2024.
Mr. Mahama promised that his government would ensure the NPP is held responsible for the chaos they have caused.
Mr. Mahama stated that his government will also look into the deaths of eight individuals in the 2020 election, with anyone responsible facing consequences and the victims’ families receiving compensation.
