The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene has promised King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II of the Ashanti Kingdom that he will repair the bridge over the River Offin.
The bridge over the river offin is falling apart. This issue was highlighted by a content creator who reveals the nation’s absence of a maintenance culture.
Addressing the Akwasidae on March 2, 2025, Dr. Amoakohene informed the King that an evaluation of the bridge had been carried out and it would need to be shut down.
He clarified that road users will need to take an alternate route to guarantee the bridge is repaired.
On March 2, 2025, the Roads Minister will visit the Ashanti Region to gain firsthand insight into the situation and assess additional road projects in the area.
“I will be joined by the Roads minister tomorrow to assess the situation and to assess other road projects in the region,” the regional minister said in a post shared via social media.
