Management of Ghanaian musician, DJ Azonto charged the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to pay the sum of GHC10 million as compensation for unauthorized use of DJ Azonto’s song.
In a statement signed by Sammy Anim, the PRO of Rolls Royce Family, he reiterated the fact that Bawumia used DJ Azonto’s ‘Fa No Fom’ song during his presidential campaign events in the North East region, Nalerigu describing it as unacceptable and a clear infringement of intellectual property rights.
Management urged Bawumia’s campaign team to immediately address the issue and take steps to prevent such oversights in the future whilst emphasizing a timely settlement from the Presidential aspirant.
