HE KNEW WHO I WAS BUT HE CHOSE TO PHYSICALLY ASSAULT ME – Minority Leader, Afenyo Markin Gives Account Of Assault On Him By Police At The “Save the Judiciary” Protest

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has offered a comprehensive account of the interaction that took place between him and a police officer called Constable Forson at the Parliament entrance during the “Save the Judiciary” protest.

He stated that a police officer hit him in the chest, causing him to lose his balance when Richard Ahiagbah asked him to enter the Parliament entrance, which had a police barricade.

He stated that, despite the warnings from Constable Forson’s superiors, he openly disregarded them and viewed him as insignificant because, in his eyes, he was simply fulfilling his responsibilities.

The minority leader stated that he required the support of a wall at the parliament’s premises, where he leaned to catch his breath, which was lost after being hit in the chest by police.

He characterized the headlines circulating in the media as misleading and not representative of what actually occurred that day.
