As Ghana gets ready for the general elections of 2024, the Chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC), Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh has called on journalists to maintain their professionalism and fend off political manipulation.
Speaking at Radio Univers’s 30th-anniversary celebration, Mr Ayeboafoh emphasized the significance of upholding journalistic ethics.
He underlined that, especially during this critical election season, journalists must place a high priority on veracity and accuracy in their reporting.
Mr. Boadu-Ayeboafoh emphasized the difficulties facing Ghana’s media environment, especially the absence of explicit rules governing electronic media.
He underlined the necessity of taking preventative action to guarantee responsibility, openness, and professionalism on all media platforms.
