DON’T COMPARE YOUR USELESS GOVERNMENT TO KWAME NKRUMAH, NKRUMAH WAS A VISIONARY – John Mahama Warns Bawumia’s Running Mate NAPO

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has warned Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and the New Patriotic Party not to compare Akufo Addo’s government to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s government.

This comes after Matthew Prempeh at his unveiling as running mate for NPP’s flagbearer, Dr Bawumia at Manhyia where Asantehene Otumfuo was present claimed that no president in Ghana’s history has developed the country not even Kwame Nkrumah.

“Since independence from 1957 till today, we’ve not had any president that has helped Ghana like Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. I say from 1957 till today, you can bring your Kwame Nkrumah… no president who has protected Ghana and moved the country forward like Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,” he explained.

Hours later, at a durbar of the Ashaiman divisional council and tribal chiefs in Ashaiman, John Mahama reiterated the fact that Kwame Nkrumah’s achievements in the country have become a lasting legacy.

He cited the Tema Harbour, Akosombo Dam, Tema Motorway as some of the developmental projects carried out by Kwame Nkrumah therefore Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka NAPO should never compare what he described as ‘useless Akufo Addo government’ to that of Kwame Nkrumah.
