EAST LEGON ACCIDENT: SALIFU AMOAKO’S SON NOT FIT FOR INTERROGATION – UGMC Medical Report Claims

The medical report of Elrad Salifu Amoako, son of Prophet Salifu Amoako, has been released by Dr. Fred Salawu, the Orthopedic and trauma surgeon at UGMC.

The UGMC stated that even though Elrad Salifu Amoako, son of Prophet Salifu Amoako, had been released from the hospital, he was still not ready for questioning.

The tragic incident in East Legon on October 12, 2024, resulted in the deaths of teenagers Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh Boaten, caused by the driver’s dangerous behaviour.

Dr. Fred Salawu, the Orthopedic and trauma surgeon at UGMC, signed a document stating that Elrad was admitted to the health facility on October 12, 2024.

Dr Salawu observed that Elrad was sent from Legon Hospital after sustaining an open dislocation of the right ankle and facial lacerations. He also mentioned that as a result of the tragic East Legon accident, there was a short period of unconsciousness, which was handled by plastic and orthopaedic surgeons.

The orthopaedic and trauma surgeon specified in Elrad’s medical file that on October 21, 2024, the adolescent underwent split skin grafting for his post-traumatic ulcer.

He added that the 16-year-old was currently moving around without putting weight on his right leg. Additionally, Elrad was released on October 28, 2024, for evaluation on an Outpatient Department basis.

“He had debridement, spanning right ankle external fixation and a flap cover on 14th October 2024. Findings at surgery were; 1. An open right ankle joint dislocation with an unstable joint (Gastillo III B) and 2. Tear of the anterior and posterior talofibular and calcaneofibular ligaments,” the statement said.

He is currently not fit to be sent to the police station for interrogation. When he is done with treatment, I will inform you accordingly.”
