The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Madam Jean Mensa, has officially declared the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC), John Dramani Mahama as the President-elect after winning the 2024 presidential elections.
Madam Jean Mensa announced that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) obtained 4, 657, 304 41.61% whilst John Mahama obtained 6, 328, 397 votes 56.55%.
EC chair indicated that 9 constituencies are still outstanding, however, they won’t impact the results.
