A staff member of the Electoral Commission, Joseph Blankson Adumadzie, has petitioned President John Dramani Mahama to remove EC Chairperson Jean Mensa and her deputies, Dr Bossman Eric Asare and Samuel Tettey, over alleged misconduct.
He submitted the petition under Article 146 of the 1992 Constitution and said it is based on 12 counts, including cronyism, abuse of office, and gross incompetence.
Mr Adumadzie argued that the actions of the three officials undermine public confidence in the Commission and threaten the independence and credibility of Ghana’s electoral processes.
