“I COULDN’T BATHE MYSELF”: McBrown Reveals Agonizing Ordeal Before Surgery

Media personality opens up about severe pain and helplessness following relapse of arm injury from near-fatal accident.

Ghanaian actress and television host Nana Ama McBrown has shared heartbreaking details of the debilitating pain she endured before her recent surgery, revealing she reached a point where she couldn’t perform even the most basic personal tasks.

During an emotional interview on Onua Showtime on August 24, the media personality described how the intense pain made her completely dependent on others for daily care.

“Before I went for the surgery, I couldn’t even wear panties by myself. I couldn’t even bathe. Someone had to bathe me and dress me up,” McBrown disclosed, visibly reflecting on the difficult period.

The actress expressed profound gratitude for her recovery, stating: “I thank God that I can now lift my hands as I am sitting here right now. I don’t feel pain anymore.”

This recent health crisis marks the latest chapter in a series of medical complications stemming from a horrific car accident nearly 13 years ago. On January 30, 2013, McBrown and her then-boyfriend (now husband) Maxwell Mensah were involved in a serious collision on the George Walker Bush Highway near Lapaz while returning from a movie shoot.

Both were rushed to the 37 Military Hospital with serious injuries. Mensah, who later recounted the incident after recovering from unconsciousness, explained that another vehicle had suddenly crossed their path.

McBrown revealed that her life has never been the same since that fateful incident, with the recent arm condition representing just one of many health challenges she has faced over the past decade.
