EOCO SEIZES SHATTA WALE’S LAMBORGHINI URUS AFTER BEING LINKED TO A CRIMINAL A FRAUD CASE

The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) has released a letter to report that their office has seized a 2019 Lamborghini Urus from Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale as part of an investigation requested by the FBI and the U.S. Justice Department.

The operation is linked to financial crimes committed by Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is currently serving an 86-month sentence in the U.S.

The car, believed to have been purchased with proceeds from Amuah’s crimes, was voluntarily surrendered by Shatta Wale.

He reportedly raised concerns about the public impact of the seizure on his brand.

Both Shatta Wale and the former National Signal Bureau officer have been named persons of interest and may be involved in further investigations.

The U.S. government plans to request the return of the vehicle as part of a $4.7 million restitution, and EOCO may share its final findings with U.S. authorities.
