ESTHER SMITH’S MANAGEMENT REFUTES CLAIMS PASTOR ELVIS AGYEMANG CHARGED FOR PRAYERS
Statement dismisses social media reports as false and misleading

The management of Ghanaian gospel musician Esther Smith has denied reports circulating on social media alleging that Pastor Elvis Agyemang, founder of the Alpha Hour prayer movement, demanded or accepted money in exchange for offering prayers.
In a statement issued on January 16, Esther Smith’s team described the claims as “a gross distortion of facts” and urged the public to disregard what it called a misleading narrative.
“Interactions between Esther Smith’s team and Pastor Elvis Agyemang, as well as the Alpha Hour team, were marked by respect, dignity and genuine pastoral care. At no point was any amount requested, demanded, or charged for prayers,” the statement read.
Management also emphasised that throughout Esther Smith’s engagement with Alpha Hour, the team received adequate support and security, with all proceedings conducted with professionalism and integrity.
Describing Pastor Agyemang as “a leader who has consistently demonstrated character, accountability and transparency,” the statement dismissed any portrayal to the contrary as inaccurate.
The public, Alpha Hour followers and fans of Esther Smith were advised to ignore speculative reports and sensational headlines that seek to misrepresent the facts.
Management further appealed to media outlets and bloggers to verify information before publication and avoid content that could mislead the public or harm reputations.
“This statement is issued in the interest of truth, clarity and peace,” it concluded.
