“EVERY FOOL CAN GET A MOVIE ON AMAZON” — Oboy Siki Fĩres Lilwin Over Recent Claims
Veteran Kumawood actor Oboy Siki has reacted angrily to his colleague Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin’s assertion that only Jackson K. Bentum and Frank Fiifi Garbin are capable of directing films that are suitable for global streaming services.
Oboy Siki was unreserved in his criticism of Lilwin’s comments in a recent interview with Papa Jay of Poleeno Multimedia. He insisted that the two directors Lilwin commended were not comparable to the renowned evangelist Samuel Nyamekye, CEO of Miracle Films.
Oboy Siki asserts that Samuel Nyamekye is still the best Ghanaian filmmaker in terms of creating timeless, high-caliber films.
Regarding Lilwin’s boast that Frank Fiifi Garbin’s excellent directing abilities helped get his film “A Country Called Ghana” on Amazon Prime, Oboy Siki sarcastically called it empty rhetoric.
He maintained that since any idiot can purchase a movie on Amazon these days, it is not a huge concern.
He further emphasized that the site is overrun with poor quality movies and asked Papa Jay if he had seen any of the garbage that is being posted there.
Additionally, Oboy Siki denied Lilwin’s claim that YouTube filmmakers are crazy.
He made the point that the YouTube filmmakers of today are capable of doing things that the so-called proper directors Lilwin cited were unable to do.
He believes that compared to many of the more established names, the younger generation of web filmmakers is even more imaginative and diligent. are the only ones eligible for foreign displays, according to Lilwin.
