Nana Aba Anamoah, a well-known media figure, has dared President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to confront the problem of intentional false information targeted at undermining John Dramani Mahama by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Nana Aba Anamoah shared a video on her X page in which President Akufo-Addo talked about how false and harmful information was intentionally circulated about him, such as accusations of drug trafficking and his ex-wife’s murder, before the 2008 general elections and afterwards.
The opposition allegedly created these stories to weaken public trust in his governing skills.
Nana Aba Anamoah challenged the president to also recognize the NPP’s use of comparable strategies against the NDC’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama.
Her tweet stated, “The President just detailed how fake, scandalous stories were shared about him in previous & upcoming elections by the opposition. It would have been nice to add how his party’s machinery also widely spreads wild false stories about John Mahama. That’s fair.”
