‘FAKE’ DOCTOR ANNE SANSA DALY WAS NOT SWORN IN ON NHIA BOARD – Health Ministry

The Ministry of Health has refuted reports that Ms Anne Sansa Daly was sworn in as a member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

According to the Health Ministry, during the swearing-in ceremony held on May 27, 2025, Ms Anne Sansa Daly was not sworn in.

The ministry spokesperson, Tony Goodman, described the Graphic Online report as misleading in a press release.

The statement stated, “The Ministry wishes to categorically deny the allegations contained in the said publication and to present the facts”.

“It is important to clarify that Ms Daly was not sworn in on the 27th of May 2025, during the swearing-in ceremony held at the Ministry of Health”, the statement added.

Anne Sansa Daly who was appointed as a board member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has been revoked by President John Mahama with immediate effect.

According to reports, Anne-Sansa Daly’s appointment revocation follows the brouhaha surrounding her appointment after reports that her medical credentials are fake.

The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, in a letter dated May 23, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama, revealed the revocation.

The statement read, “I write to inform you that the President of the Republic has, with immediate effect, revoked the appointment of Anne Sansa Daly as a member of the Board of National Health Insurance Authority. The President has nominated Prof. Dr. (Med) Ernest Yorke to replace her as a member of the Board”.

The statement also announced that Professor Dr (Med) Ernest Yorke has been nominated to replace her on the Board.

“Kindly take the necessary steps to facilitate the swearing-in of Prof. Dr. (Med) Ernest Yorke accordingly. Please accept the assurances of the highest consideration of His Excellency, the President of the Republic,” it added.
