OSP MANIPULATED EVIDENCE TO PROCURE AN ARREST WARRANT AGAINST KEN OFORI-ATTA – Family claims

Ken Ofori-Atta’s family has requested that INTERPOL’s National Central Bureau and the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files remove the Red Notice issued against him, alleging that the Office of the Special Prosecutor has misused its administrative authority.

On Monday, June 9, the family issued a statement condemning the issuance of an INTERPOL Red Notice and asserted that the OSP’s actions violate due process, constitutional rights, and international law.

The family highlighted that the arrest warrant for Ofori-Atta, issued on 11 February 2025, was acquired under peculiar conditions without an accompanying affidavit and contended that, despite the warrant, no charges have been brought against Ofori-Atta.

Ken Ofori-Atta’s relatives have officially requested both the National Central Bureau and the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files (CCF).

They urge the prompt deletion of the Red Notice, claiming it was obtained through distorted evidence and concealed medical data.

Ken Ofori-Atta’s family claims the OSP is misusing its authority in what it describes as a “premeditated vendetta” aimed at the ex-official.

Their petition follows Kissi Agyebeng’s announcement that he has initiated a process for the issuance of an INTERPOL red notice, which could lead to Ken Ofori-Atta being subjected to international arrest and extradition.

The Special Prosecutor declined Ken Ofori-Atta’s request for a virtual meeting during a press conference.

Kissi Agyebeng states that Ken Ofori-Atta is required to appear in person at the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Kissi Agyebeng stated, “This office has always requested his attendance, and we have indicated clearly to him that we are unwilling to waive it. If we were amenable to taking any statement from Ken Ofori-Atta in absentia, we would have done so in February, and not waited till June 2, 2025.

“We want him here physically, and we insist on it. A suspect in a criminal investigation does not pick and choose how the investigative body conducts its investigations and the methods suitable to him and his convenience. We will not countenance this conduct, not in this case”, he added.
