FAMILY SUSPECTS FOUL PLAY AS LATE SAMUEL ABOAGYE’S WIFE REFUSES DNA TEST ON CHILD
A legal battle has erupted after the widow of the late NADMO official, who died in the August 6 helicopter crash, filed a motion to block a DNA test on their child, a test the family says is crucial for both identification and confirming paternity.

A deeply contentious legal dispute has surfaced following the tragic death of Samuel Aboagye, a victim of the August 6 military helicopter crash, pitting his family against his widow, Mrs. Abigail Aboagye, over a DNA test for their young child.
The conflict began when the family, needing to identify Mr. Aboagye’s remains which were badly charred in the crash, requested a DNA sample from the child to assist with the process. According to the deceased’s brother, Nana Kwabena Oyiakwan, the widow initially refused to comply with this request.
The family’s pursuit of the test has since taken on a new dimension. They now state that the widow’s continued refusal has raised their own suspicions about the child’s paternity, alleging that the late Mr. Aboagye himself had expressed doubts about it before his death.
“The family now seeks to confirm the legitimacy of the child, claiming doubts arose following the widow’s continued refusal to cooperate,” Oyiakwan stated in a video seen by NKONKONSA.com.
In a dramatic turn, Mrs. Aboagye has reportedly filed a motion in court to legally prevent the family from obtaining a DNA sample from the child. This move has intensified the standoff, transforming a private family matter into a public legal and ethical debate.
The case has sparked widespread discussion on social media and in the public sphere, with opinions divided between the family’s right to clarity and the widow’s and child’s right to privacy, raising complex questions about the boundaries of posthumous DNA testing.
