Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah has reportedly declared his candidacy as an independent candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat in the December 2024 elections.
A close friend Fiifi Tackie, who also acts as the Ayew family’s spokesman, revealed this.
According to Fiifi Tachie, who handles PR for the majority of football players in the nation, the former player would run as an independent for the position.
John Dumelo and Lydia Alhassan, who have already begun their campaigns, will be his opponents, particularly on the numerous colleges inside the area.
However, Stephen Appiah has not yet made his decision publicly known.
The former captain of the Black Stars will increase the number of well-known Ghanaians wishing to represent their people in parliament by standing for parliament.
