They acknowledged her significant role in building the organization from the very beginning.
In their message, they highlighted Juliet Asante’s unwavering dedication.
She was described as a true pioneer who laid a strong foundation for the NFA, broke barriers, and served as an inspiration to everyone involved.
“From day one, she has led with passion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to this space,” a portion of the statement read.
During Juliet’s leadership, the NFA earned recognition for its courageous efforts to revitalize Ghana’s film industry.
She worked tirelessly to advocate for policies supporting local filmmakers and to promote Ghanaian cinema on international platforms, leaving a lasting impact.
As Juliet Asante’s tenure is over, the NFA has already announced that popular Ghanaian actress Kafui Danku will take over as the new CEO and Executive Secretary.
Joining her in this new leadership role is actor James Gardiner, who will serve as her deputy.
